Psychological Evaluation and Counseling Service

The Student Psychological Support Service (SEAP) was established with the mission of providing comprehensive psychological support to the UCAM student community. Recognizing the diverse needs of students, SEAP offers services designed to promote emotional and academic well-being.

Through a preventive and holistic approach, SEAP aims not only to address students' current difficulties but also to provide practical and lasting tools to help them navigate the challenges of university life. Services

  1. Evaluation Service This service aims to identify and understand the individual needs of students to refer them promptly to the specialized services they require. The evaluation provides a clear understanding of the situation, whether emotional, academic, or social, to offer personalized and appropriate solutions.
  2. Advisory Service This service focuses on providing practical guidance and emotional support to help students manage common challenges in university life. The individual sessions are designed as follows:
  • Exploration of the issue: Provides a space to explore the problem, allowing students to express their concerns and needs.
  • Problem assessment: Analyzes the circumstances of the issue in greater detail to understand underlying factors and identify potential solutions.
  • Advisory and referral: Offers practical guidance and, if necessary, refers students to specialized services or resources that can address the problem more effectively.

Additionally, SEAP develops and distributes psychoeducational materials, such as practical guides on relaxation, improving sleep, and managing stress during high- demand academic periods.
